That would be Todd Starnes, host of FOX News & Commentary, heard daily on hundreds of radio stations around the country.

And what is it conservatives say about liberals? That they’re constantly trying to divide people? They really ought to occasionally look in the mirror.

  1. Marner says:

Sorry, I didn’t mean to step on your post. I didn’t see it before I posted mine.

  2. In Richmond, Cantor’s would-be victory party went from somber to surreal.

“I know there’s a lot of long faces here tonight,” Cantor told the crowd, appearing just after the race had been called about 8 p.m. “It’s disappointing, sure. But I believe in this country. I believe there’s opportunity around the next corner for all of us.”

Opportunity for Cantor, for sure. He’ll be working for a lobbyist before you can blink.

“He’ll be working for a lobbyist before you can blink.”

No doubt. The only question is for which industry he will be lobbying. I’m betting the defense industry. Gotta keep that trough overflowing!

  3. Marner says:

I think two things to keep in mind before anyone starts talking about how strong the Teahadists are:

    1. Cantor is only the second incumbent Republican to lose a primary this cycle and

    2. Brat was nominated by a mere 4% of eligible voters.

    • mitchethekid says:

And the Democrat he’s going to be running against is a professor at the same liberal arts college as Brat. Liberal Arts?? How’s that possible? If you get a chance, read Chris Mathews’ take down last night on the PhD’d Brat. I think they are drunk on the euphoria of wining right now. Wait until November when he loses.

      • I don’t know that he loses in November. I don’t know the demographics of this district well, but I believe it was recently re-configured to be more conservative. My guess is that the Republican candidate wins, no matter who it is.

      • mitchethekid says:

Only 10% of registered voters showed up to vote. If people like Chris Mathews keep questioning his qualifications and his ideology, I think that will have a effect. The thing that bothers me the most about him is his attributing his win to god. Will he do the same if he looses to the Democrat? Who teaches at the college. Plus he is an academic and an intellectual. Two strikes against him as far as conservatives are concerned.

  4. 02casper says:

Here is a great article about the election.

We had a similar situation here in Wyoming a few years ago. Babara Cubin, almost lost her seat to a Democrat in 2008 because she did such a lousy job.

  5. don’t you love their logic today. I am just not going to get into a stupid debate with them but they blame obama for leaving Iraq and that is why it is in such bad shape. WTF- bush screwed the whole thing up and we should never have been there in the first place. So we should have permanent military there? Someone should ask what we should do. I guess we should just never
